4th Of July Celebration

JULY 4TH - Start the day with the annual parade along Main Street. Enjoy a BBQ Chicken dinner at the Fire Station sponsored by the Belmond Lions Club. Choose from an afternoon of festivities including Disc Golf at River Park, a Basketball Tournament, Inflatables, Bingo, a Cake Walk and more at Swimming Pool Park. End your day with a spectacular fireworks and ground display at the Belmond-Klemme High School football field. Kites Over The Prairie

JUNE - At the Jenison-Meacham Memorial Arts Center, Larry and Kay Day and Mark Brandt demonstrate kite flying with their massive kites in the field east of the museum which is located one and one-fourth miles north of Belmond on Taylor Ave. Many of these kites have been flown at the Color the Wind Kite Festival on Clear Lake. The public is invited to attend this free event. Children and adults are encouraged to bring their own kites to fly in a separate area. Food and beverages will be available on the grounds. Hwy 3 Corridor Three County Yard Sale

SEPTEMBER - Three Counties - Wright, Franklin and Butler - team up to bring the Highway 3 Corridor Yard Sale for three days before Labor Day Weekend. Anyone can be a vendor by simply having a yard sale in their yard, at their business or by setting up in designated vendor places. Belmond residents can register their sale by contacting the chamber at 641-444-3937. The cost to register your sale is $5 and registrations are due in August. Please mail payment to 223 E. Main Street, Belmond, Iowa 50421. Brochures with a list of addresses will be printed the weekend prior to the sales. They will be available at participating convenience stores. "Thanks With Franks" And City Wide Garage Sales

MAY - Local businesses grill hot dogs and offer special condiments as a way to show gratitude to people in Belmond and the surrounding area. Walk up and down Main Street and receive a big smile and welcome in addition to a tasty hot dog. Also, on this same day there are many garage sales open and waiting for customers! Prairie Homestead Annual Antique Power And Country Craft Show

AUGUST - This event is a huge display of the way things were done in days gone by. Farm machinery, entertainment, food and crafts are included in this three day event. There are many demonstrations, gas engines, antique tractor pull and groups of equipment to feast your eyes on! Rain or shine this is held at the Jenison Meacham Memorial Art Museum and Farmstead. Dog Days Triathlon

Autumn Family Fun Festival

Parade Of Lights
