Pick up on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays for homes west of 6th Avenue and on 2nd and 4th Wednesday for homes east of 6th Avenue. Container should be put out by 7 am. If you move, the recycling container stays with the house. If you need a container, contact the Wright County Area Landfill Authority at 515-532-2984.

Please separate recyclables into two categories.

Glass, Plastic, Metal
Loose in bottom of container

Plastic
(#1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 7)
Milk jugs – flatten – thoroughly drained
Anti-freeze containers – thoroughly drained
Motor oil – thoroughly drained

Glass
Clear, green, brown, blue
(Do not break!)

Metal
Aluminum (pop cans/pie tins, trays)

Tin Cans
Must be crimped or flattened

Cardboard, Paper, Magazines
Together in a brown paper sack or bundled together with twine

Boxboard
(Cereal, cake chip and cracker boxes)

Corrugated Cardboard
Flattened – maximum size is 30″ x 60″ x 6″ high)

  • No plastic bags are to be used or set out
