I sit on the Board of Directors of the Iowa Specialty Hospital-Belmond Auxiliary; and serve as Volunteer Co-Chair for same. I am an active member of Bethany Reformed Church, Trees Forever and Friends of the Belmond Talbot Memorial Library. My husband Doug and I raised two children in the Belmond School District. We have two adult grandsons and three grand-dogs.
Rich Rockow

Rich was elected to the Park Board in 2016 and has been an active member of the Belmond Trees Forever group since 2012. He is on the Honor Guard after retiring from the Army. Rich and his wife Twyla raised their two children in Belmond. One son lives in Belmond with his family and the other lives in Middleton, Idaho. They have 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Rich trims along the the trail often and has helped with river clean-up.
Sharleen Sorum

Sharleen was elected to the Park Board to serve a term starting in January, 2014. Prior to that she served as a City Council Member for eight years. Sharleen has always been active in the community through organizations and even spearheading efforts such as the trail extension along Fifth Street SE, Luick’s Lane and Seventh Street NE. Sharleen and her husband Lynn raised their two children in Belmond. She is the grandmother to six and still spends as much time as possible following their activities.
